About Shiluvari Lakeside Lodge
Against a backdrop of mountains and forests, sacred lakes and Holy Forests, one will discover Shiluvari lakeside Lodge. Nestling amongst centuries old Wild Fig trees with sweeping views of the Soutpansberg Mountains Shiluvari is the ideal base to explore the diverse natural and cultural heritage of this “Land of Legend.” Once the old farmhouse, the main Lodge now boasts the intimate WOODOWL country restaurant. famous for it’s delicious afro-fusion cuisine. Also on site, you will find the cosy bar and lounge area, complete with wraparound outdoor terrace with spectacular views of the Lake and surrounds….The cool, thatched chalets set on the banks of the lake offer you secluded and private intimacy – each one uniquely decorated with a different theme and set apart from the rest.. All our cottages incorporate elements from the local artists and crafters… Choose from the Dragonfly, Bug or African room – each one has its own charm. Shiluvari is set in 30 hectares of natural vegetation and offers you the opportunity to walk through the estate where you may see some of the game species that frequent the area. Waterbuck, Kudu, Bushbuck and Duiker are often seen grazing and browsing in the lodge grounds. Albasini is home to both Hippo’s and crocodiles and has spectacular birdlife. Resident fish eagles waken you at dawn with their call and are soon joined in a symphony of liquid notes by the Burchell’s coucal, Heuglin’s robin and the emerald spotted wood dove .Enjoy a sundowner cruise on the “Savannah” on the Levubu River and enjoy a cocktail whilst seeing the sun go down and listening to the call of the Fiery necked nightjar as evening falls. Rates
Rates from R375 per person per night sharing inclusive of dinner.
Accommodation rates start from standard rooms through to thatched chalets and family suites.
Rates can be on a BB basis, or a DBB Basis.
Rates include VAT @ 14%, but exclude a tomsa levy of 1%.
Children under the age of 12 yrs and sharing with adults pay 50% of quoted tariff.
Single surcharge is levied at 40%.
