About Mdoni House Guest Lodge
The tranquil setting of our large subtropical hillside garden invites you to relax as you arrive at Mdoni House Guest Lodge in Umtentweni - a natural garden suburb nestling on the shores of the Indian Ocean.
Stroll through the ancient indigenous and exotic trees spotting the myriad of birds and monkeys that have made our garden their home, swim in the sparkling blue pool or relax with sundowners in the bar or on the pool deck at treetop level, where you can watch out for passing ships or frolicking whales.
Our 4 double and 2 family rooms are all en suite attractively decorated, and well appointed with ceiling fans, fridge, TV and hostess tray. Breakfast is served al fresco next to the pool, satelite TV is available in the guest lounge, and we have plenty of secure shady parking.
Self catering Guests are accommodated in our charming fully equipped garden cottage.
We are approximately 2,5km from the popular Umtentweni beach – ideal for swimming, surfing, sunbathing or fishing, and there are restaurants and shops close by. Port Shepstone is a mere 4km away where there are a variety of shops, restaurants and take-aways, and there are many natural attractions close by if you enjoy sight seeing, walking or bird watching.
For the adventurous- there’s abseiling, wild swing, shark diving, scuba diving, snorkelling, whale and dolphin watching, 4 x 4 trails etc.etc. – Or you could follow a craft trail or visit one of the museums or art galleries. There are a wealth of superb golf courses available - 11 within a 50km radius of Umtentweni - the closest being at Port Shepstone Country Club just 2km from our door, which also offers other sporting facilities to guests.

Low Season: R350.00 per person Sharing - R385.00 per person Single
High Season - Easter weekend - June + July - 16 December - 10th January R385.00 per person per night sharing R770.00 per night single - ask about our special corporate single rates.
