About Kulungi Riverside Lodge

Three Star Tourism Grading.

Kulungi Riverside Lodge is situated on the banks of the Olifants River in the Grietjie Private Natures Reserve, within the vast Balule Nature Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, and is a mere 30km from the Phalaborwa entrance gate to the Kruger National Park. 2 luxury tents & 5 private, totally separate, spacious thatched chalets, 2 of which are also complete self-catering units.  All accommodation units have an en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan, mosquito net, mini bar and a private patio where guests can view the abundant species of game, including four of the BIG FIVE drinking at the waterhole or at the river. The chalets have air-conditioning, shower facility only, and can comfortably sleep a family of four. An extra bed can be added for a 3rd child.  Each tent has a separate bath and shower and comfortably sleeps 4 persons.  We regret that there is no air-conditioning in the tents. 

The restaurant has a lovely light wooden and bush appearance, where all meals including a Full Hot & Cold Breakfast and 3 Course Dinner (Starters, Main Course and Dessert) are served each day/night.  A new boma area has just been completed where outdoor dining under the stars can be enjoyed as well as a relaxing evening sitting around the large fire pit.  By prior arrangements at breakfast we are happy to provide a Picnic Basket or a Light Lunch in the restaurant or around the pool.

THATCHED CHALETS AND LUXURY TENTS                        

• Single Chalet or Luxury Tent @ R600.00 (R650.00) per single chalet per night.
• Double / Twin Chalet or Luxury Tent @ R500.00 (R550.00) per person sharing per night for the first 2 adults sharing.
• A 3^rd & 4^th adult sharing 1 chalet or luxury tent on bunk-beds @ R300.00 (R350.00) each for a maximum of 4 adults per chalet.
• Children between 6 years & 12 years old share with parents @ R250.00 (R300.00) per child per night.
• Children between 0 years and 6 years old share with parents @ R150.00 (R200.00) per child per night. 
• The above is inclusive of dinner, bed & breakfast
