About Fort Buis Game Lodge
Twenty kilometers northwest of Klerksdorp, next to the Hartebeesfonteint-Brakspruit road lies Fort Buis, part of Buisfontein, one of the most historical farms in the North West province. Few motorists recognize this tranquil and untouched gem hidden between the cliffs and ravines as they go past.
Fort Buis the nature lovers & photographers haven!
At Fort Buis a photographic expedition into the veld is a must. The terrain and wildlife (24 species) is diverse and impressive. If photography is not your one of your hobbies, you can still experience the vast wildlife at Fort Buis with a day or night game drive and 4x4ing.
Each of the charming bedrooms has its own individual style and décor ranging from colonial flair to African simplicity with Luxury ensuite bathrooms, adjoining the four external rooms.
The main homestead with its exquisitely furnished lounge and fire place has a fully operational kitchen which allows for self catering as well as a fully catered alternative and dining room. Two bathrooms - one with a bath and another with a shower. Main bedroom with king size bed and another room with 4 bunk beds (suitable for children)
Rondawels with a patio to enjoy the outdoor and grassed area. Both having 2 beds, heaters and cupboards.
Each of the external rooms have two beds, heaters, cupboards, tea and coffee trays.
Fort Buis has a well-stocked, relaxing bar - here guests can gather for pre-drinks, watch television, play a game of darts, pool or table tennis, or simply discuss the day' activities.
Are refreshing swimming pool is also found on the premises. After a hard, hot day on "safari", nothing can beat diving into a "revamped" farm dam to cool one's aching bones and sun-drenched senses.
Fort Buis has a fully operational kitchen and dining room. The lodge offers a self-catering package, with three staff members to assist with cleaning duties. A fully catered alternative is available at an extra cost. To enjoy meals outdoors, alternate venues are available in which one can enjoy the star-studded African sky, around a blazing bonfire. Whatever your preference, options can be made with reservation.
